Mozambique Energy Industry: Major dam to begin this year
Construction of the Moamba-Major Dam in the Incomáti River basin should begin this year, said Pedrito Rocha from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. Rocha told the Maputo-based daily Notícias that the US$500 million needed to finance the project are already guaranteed. The dam is part of the broader plan meant to ensure the supply of potable water to the greater Maputo region.
