Guinea-Bissau is negotiating with Senegal a new agreement on joint exploitation of petroleum resources and presented a set of proposals in the third round of talks held during the first three days of August in Dakar, the head of Bissau’s delegation said on Monday.

The French company JA Delmas will build a 15-megawatt thermal power station in Bor on the outskirts of Bissau under a contract signed recently with Guinea Bissau’s Ministry of Energy and Industry, reports ANG news agency.

Bissau Exploration Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of UK based GeoPartners, has announced the signing a joint venture participation agreement between themselves and A Empresa Nacional de Pesquisa e Exploracao Petroliferas (Petroguin) for petroleum exploration, development and production in Block 4B, offshore Guinea Bissau.
