Global Petroleum announced (on 24 November 2017) an extension to the First Renewal Exploration Period (Phase 2) of 12 months to 3 December 2018 for Petroleum Exploration Licence 0029 and entry into the Second Renewal Period (Phase 3) effective from 3 December 2018 for a period of two years.

Global Petroleum has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Jupiter Petroleum (Namibia), has agreed with the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy (‘MME’) an extension to the First Renewal Exploration Period (Phase 2) of 12 months to 3 December 2018 for Petroleum Exploration Licence No. 29, which covers Blocks 1910B and 2010A, in the Walvis Basin offshore Namibia.

Africa Oil & Gas: Global Petroleum completes seismic acquisition in PEL 0029, offshore Namibia

  Global Petroleum has announced the completion of the 2D seismic acquisition programme previously announced in the Company’s operated block PEL 0029 in Namibia.  The survey – comprising 834 km of full fold 2D seismic data – was carried out by Seabird Exploration of Norway, and shooting took only 10 days, completing on 3 July 2017.  The total cost of the acquisition is approx. US$740,000, excluding processing.

Global Petroleum has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Jupiter Petroleum (Namibia), has agreed with the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy (‘MME’) a 12 month extension of the Initial Exploration Period of itsPetroleum Exploration Licence No. 29, which covers two Blocks, 1910B and 2010A, in the Walvis Basin offshore Namibia. The Initial Exploration Period of the Licence will now be valid until December 2015.
