In Ethiopia, the government just inaugurated an industrial park powered through renewable energy: The Hawassa Industrial Park. The country Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegnin headed the inauguration ceremony.
The park, built at a cost of $250 million, has its own its own renewable electricity source. In addition, it utilizes zero liquid discharge technologies.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Prime Minister said that the park would bring economic transformation to Ethiopia by attracting foreign direct investments and shifting small scale manufacturers to larger ones.
