Oil India expects first LNG delivery from Mozambique in 2020
Oil India informed that it is expecting the first liquefied natural gas cargo delivery from the Anadarko-operated LNG project in Mozambique by first quarter 2020. The company has a 10% participating interest in the offshore Area 1 block together with ONGC Videsh.
Anadarko, with a 26.5% working interest, and partners have discovered more than 75 Tcf of recoverable natural gas resources in Mozambique’s Offshore Area 1, which will be used to feed an initial two-train LNG development.
Each of the two trains will have a processing capacity of 6 mtpa. The facility will also include two LNG storage tanks, each with a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters, condensate storage, multi-berth marine jetty and associated utilities and infrastructure.
A consortium consisting of CB&I, Chiyoda Corporation and Saipem has been selected to carry out the initial work on the project.(The Post Staff, Image: Anadarko)
